Specialty CBV Candles

The past two days, we decided to light two of our specialty candles from Candles by Victoria.  It is so hard to start lighting these up... they are beautiful works of art and so darn cute!

First up, we have Smores Galore.  The bottom is a Chocolate layer, topped with Graham Cracker Crust crumb wax and chocolate bars, a layer of whipped Marshmallow Campfire scent, and topped with more Graham Cracker crumbs and chocolate chucks.  YUM!

This candle burns great and smells awesome!  It is not the strongest scent right now, but I am excited to get down to the chocolate layer so the scents blend.  I have had it for about 4 to 5 months, and the scent has gotten stronger since I got it.

I didn't have any spillover with the candle but I did place it on a candle plate just in case.  If you get any spillover, it is great to put into a melter.
I would definitely get this candle again... it is a very cozy and warm scent!

The candle we light up today was out of the Comfort Candle line, and it was Pumpkin Gingerbread Splash.
How cute is this baby!?
The bottom layer of this candle is in Buttery Gingerbread, which I have had before by itself and really liked it.  Then there is a layer of Maple scented crumbs, followed by the top layer of whipped Spiced Pumpkin Chutney, a great fall scent.  The candle is topped with wax pumpkin imbeds and a smiling gingerbread man.  It is then sprinkled with real cinnamon, maple crumbs, and gold "butter" flakes.  Love it!
I did save the gingerbread man for the time being and will melt him in my warmer later.  He sure looks happy to see another day!

Tahitian Vanilla

Tonight's scent, Tahitian Vanilla, takes me on a little tropical getaway.  This is described as an exotic vanilla with roasted vanilla bean and yellow cake notes.
I really like this one but I don't get the yellow cake notes.... I get coconut, which I don't like that much usually, but I really like it in this scent.  Reminds me of an Ocean Water from Sonic. :)  YUM!  I think someone mentioned mixing this with Fizzy Pop for a true Ocean Water scent.... I have got to try it!

Summer Showers

Today's CBV scent on my melter is Summer Showers, which is a mix of Rain and Sunflower.
I have tried both of those scents separately.  Rain I really liked but Sunflower not so much.  I remember when the perfume called Sunflowers was popular... I didn't like that scent then and I still don't.  It is more subdued in this scent however, so I don't dislike it as much.  I would still categorize this as a floral.  Until next time.... take time to smell the roses, or air if you have CBV in the house! ;P

Springdipity

Today's scent in my melter is Springdipity.  The scent description for this one includes spring berries, fruits and florals.
Even though this scent is not a favorite of mine or Cynthia's, it is a nice scent for spring.  It is very light and airy.  I can't really pick out the notes but I do get very light floral with maybe strawberries and apples.  There might be a bit of melon in it but I am not sure.  Melon is one scent that I usually can tell is in a scent because I am not a big fan.  I almost get a watery note, but not like a salty sea scent.  My description probably doesn't make much sense, lol.

Hope everyone had a great St. Paddy's Day!

Spiced Apple Pecan

Can you say Y-U-M!?  The scent I have been melting today as well as yesterday is Spiced Apple Pecan.
If you are wondering, I have the scent shot cup sitting in a votive holder I have... it fit perfectly, so I thought it would be neat to sit the cup in there for the pictures.  :)  Anywho....This scent is a very yummy bakery scent.  I don't think it is overly spicy though.  It is a nice, almost creamy apple with cinnamon and toasted pecans.  This one is pretty droolworthy!  This one would also make a good bread pan candle option as well.  :)

Southern Nights

The Candles by Victoria scent in my melter today is Southern Nights, a mix of Gardenia, Honeysuckle, and Magnolia.
This is a very strong floral, so if you are not into floral scents, this one might not be for you.  I think I get more gardenia and magnolia, with the honeysuckle taking a backseat... it is still noticeable though.  It is a nice scent and would be a great one for the spring and summer months!  :)

Reese's Peanut Butter

Are you hungry for Reese's cups?  If not, you might be after this post!  The CBV scent we have had in the melter for the past two days is Reese's Peanut Butter.
I was hesitant on this scent because I am not a big peanut butter fan.... however, I have found that I am very fond of Victoria's PB scents... Elvis (PB and banana) is one of my favorites.  This is not overwhelming in the peanut butter at all.  It is very rich and creamy smelling with a hint of chocolate.  This is hunger-inducing on it's own right, but I would love to drop a bit of Fudge Brownie or another chocolate scent just to bump the chocolate up some.  I would say this a medium throw scent.  I am going to to putting the cute melts she has in this scent on my wish list... they look like mini Reese's cups!  You can find them on the 5th page of the tarts section on Candles by Victoria.  :)
